Treatments before Coating
Any good coating starts with the individual pre-treatment of your parts. The adhesion of a subsequent coating is dependent on the quality of surface preparation thus the treatment has an immense importance for the production process.
In the treatment of metallic and non-metallic surfaces, In principle, there are three basic methods:
- layer-stripping processes such as sandblasting, sweeping, abrading, chemical degreasing or pickling
- layer-applying method as the galvanic deposition of metals and metal alloys
- layer-converting processes such as anodizing, passivation/chromating or phosphating.
In LZR a number of pre-treatments is offered. Depending on the requirements for corrosion protection, these are combined with each other to some extent.
A special form of treatment represents the tempering of galvanized steel.
