Abrading

Abrading means the roughening of soft substrates, such as Aluminum, copper, brass, plastic or fiberglass. Soft substrates can not be processed by sand blasting because of its higher sensitivity. Therefore, these workpieces are manually brushed with pads.

Goal of pre-treatment through abrading is the optimal adhesion of the powder coating, the industrial coating or car spraying on soft substrates.
